Chris Weidman finally defined his next commitment in the UFC. After the controversy involving a sequence of fingerprints on his eyes during the confrontation with Bruno “Blindado”, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg.) opted to face the veteran Erik Anders. The fight is scheduled for November 16, according to the company 'Iridium Sport Agency'.
The controversial victory over the Brazilian, marked by unpunished infractions, generated great repercussions in MMA. Blindado, in turn, began an intense campaign to annul the result and request a rematch, but his requests were not met.

With the new fight scheduled, Weidman seeks to suffer his second consecutive defeat since 2015, when he was still undefeated and champion. He has won just two fights out of his last six appearances with the company.
Anders, who is also coming off a victory over Jamie Pickett In March of this year, he faces expectations in one of the biggest fights of his career. In addition to Chris, the 37-year-old American has already shared the octagon with Lyoto Machida, when he lost a split decision.
