Looking to compete for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.) Arman Tsarukyan live with the expectation that Islam makhachev recover from the injury and return to the octagon to face him. Despite his desire, the Armenian appears to be in a hurry and reinforced the possibility of creating the interim belt. In a statement made, the fighter mentioned possible names for the fight and left Charles of the Bronx beside.
“If Islam can’t fight this year, I would definitely like to fight for the interim title. Dustin poirier He's a tough fighter, he has a lot of experience, he would be very good. Dustin, Justin gaethje, Michael chandler too, but my focus is Islam,” Tsarukyan said in an interview with Submission Radio.
