In a climate of war, Belal Muhammad | e Kamaru Usman are determined to heat up their rivalry in the welterweight division (up to 77,1kg.). Looking to defend his belt quickly, the Palestinian expressed interest in facing Kamaru Usman next and adopted a peaceful stance when commenting on the former champion's history in the organization.
“There is also Usman there (in addition to Rakhmonov). I know he's on a losing streak, but in terms of legacy, he was the guy that Dana White said was better than all the other champions. Dana White said he's better than GSP (Georges St-Pierre). So, for me, it's like he was fine in the fight against Khamzat, and he accepted that fight a few days in advance,” Belal told TMZ.

Despite Belal's positive speech, Kamaru did not want to maintain a friendly atmosphere and fired at the champion while cursing him.
“Alright, enough being the nice guy. You never chased me, bum. You were barely in the (UFC) rankings when I dominated the division. For your information, I have a victory over Leon's son (Edwards),” Usman declared on his official Twitter account. 'X' (old Twitter).
Soon after, Belal responded to the provocation and appealed to the Nigerian's personal life.
“Dominated the division? You beat (Jorge) Masvidal twice and got into a cardio kickboxing war with Colby (Covington) twice (Colby sucks). You were protected by the UFC. Now you can barely walk. Your podcast is rubbish and your appearance in Black Panther was rubbish,” Muhammad said on 'X'.

So far, there is no statement from Dana White regarding Belal's future in the category. The champion recently stated that he wants to defend his title in 2024 and opened doors for Shavkat Rakhmonov e Kamaru Usman.
