Keeping an eye on the main fight of UFC 305, Eric Nicksick, head coach Sean Strickland, opened the game and analyzed the confrontation between 'old acquaintances' Dricus Du Plessis x Israel adesanya. Present in his pupil's corner during his defeat over a Nigerian, the coach expressed curiosity about how the former champion will return to the Octagon after losing his belt. The fight takes place this Saturday (17).
“I consider it a 50% coin toss (for each). I really do. I'm really curious to see what kind of Izzy will come back. In many ways, selfishly, I'm rooting for him because, you know, the division is much better with a talented and, you know, belt-level (athlete) (like) Israel adesanya”, declared Eric to MMA fighting.

Despite expressing support for Adesanya, Nicksick ended up having doubts about who deserves to receive the middleweight belt at the end of the fight.
“I've really liked Dricus over the last year or so. I wouldn't say we're close, but we're friendly and very respectful of each other, and I'm rooting for him in a lot of ways because I think he's been really overlooked over the years. He's a problem, man, and he's only getting better. I think the way he's starting to fight and understand who and what he is as a fighter. He's clumsy in a way like Sean is, but with more power, right? It's difficult, it's very difficult. It was very difficult for us to find specific training partners to face Dricus. You won’t find many people who can fight like him,” he concluded.

Protagonists of UFC 305, Adesanya and Du Plessis face each other this Saturday (17) in Perth, Australia. The clash will be valid for the middleweight title, currently in the hands of the South African, who won the throne after defeating Strickland in his last appearance.
