The soap opera about the return of Conor McGregor the Octagon gained another chapter. After Dana White ruled out any possibility of the former champion returning to compete in 2024, the Irishman countered the UFC president's statements and stated that he wants to fight in December.
Amidst a mess with a toe injury, McGregor had been removed from the UFC 303, where it would face Michael chandler. The fighter was considered to return in December this year, but his plans were frustrated.

“Ah Dana, December is the date. Bring the calendar of the year home with a winning event! Come on, what is this? I'm going to altitude next month to prepare. December! Tell Dana and the UFC: we want December! We deserve December!”, wrote the former champion on his social networks.
Dana White postpones McGregor's return to UFC
McGregor's statement contrasts with the position of Dana White, who during the post-Contender Series press conference, was categorical in stating that he will not count on the Irishman this year.
“We didn’t meet, but we talked. Yes, he wants to fight. We will resolve this. Not this year. He won’t fight this year”, declared the top hat.
The divergence between the parties keeps fans' expectations about McGregor's future in the UFC. The Irishman, who was once one of the organization's main stars, is looking to resume his career after a period of inactivity and injuries.
