About 11 months ago, Sean Strickland shocked the world and defeated in a dominant way Israel adesanya to become middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg). Months later, in January of this year, it was the turn of Dricus Du Plessis sharing the octagon with the North American, dethroning him, winning the category belt and, at the same time, unraveling what happened to 'Izzy' in the previous confrontation.
During the media day of the UFC 305, held last Wednesday (14), Dricus Du Plessis, who defends the title against Israel adesanya at this Saturday's event (17), pointed out the main mistake made by the Nigerian in the defeat to Sean Strickland and stated that he only realized this when he shared the octagon with the North American.

“I thought it was a bad night. It was very evident in the way he fought. But then I faced Strickland and my perception of that fight changed, because I understood what it was like to face Sean Strickland. He's hard to hit. Izzy (Adesanya) didn't have much volume. He is very precise with his strikes, or at least he tries to be. He's a guy who moves, moves and strikes. When he faced Strickland, he missed all of those shots. Strickland is very, very good defensively. When I faced him I immediately understood what happened. I had a lot of volume, so I was able to catch him and beat him, but Adesanya doesn't release that much volume and every time he struck, he missed,” he analyzed.
With the title fight between Dricus Du Plessis e Israel adesanya in the main fight, the UFC 305 takes place this Saturday (17), in Perth, Australia.
