Directly from Rio de Janeiro, Mairon Santos, 24 years old, became the second Brazilian to win The Ultimate Fighter title. A favorite at the bookmakers, the athlete had an impeccable performance, nullifying Kaan Oflin's grappling fight and obliterating his opponent with a fatal counterattack in the second round. After winning, the Rio native received a trophy and secured a contract with UFC.
Known for his talent in stand-up fighting, Mairon had great success in his performance in the final of the 32nd edition of The Ultimate Fighter. Without giving Kaan a chance to take the fight to the ground, the Brazilian undermined his rival's base with powerful kicks and took advantage of the opportunity to apply a counterattack, knocking Ofli out in a frightening manner and securing his dream prize.

On the other hand, Kaan suffered the first knockout defeat in his career. In search of the dream contract with the organization, the fighter will need to return to the path of victory, in order to receive a second chance to join the UFC.

Mairon began the confrontation aggressively, looking for a jab and direct shot with pressure and was matched by Ofli, who returned the same coin and then unsuccessfully attacked with the takedown applied. Determined to insist on his strategy, Ofli took the Brazilian to the cage and began to dominate the actions, without letting his rival reverse his position and take the fight to the center of the Octagon. After throwing elbows, Mairon scared his opponent, who released him and let the fight resume in the middle. With success in his striking, Santos twice unbalanced the athlete with powerful kicks to the front leg and began to stand out in the confrontation.
In the second round of the fight, Mairon demonstrated that he was focused on undermining his rival's base with strong leg kicks. With up-to-date takedown defense, the Brazilian prevented yet another attempt by his opponent to take the fight to the ground. As he closed the distance, Ofli received a fatal counterattack from Mairon and frighteningly fell to the ground, completely unconscious and without any reactions.

Willing to give their all in the final of The Ultimate Fighter, Ryan Loder and Robert Valentin staged a violent spectacle on the main card of the ufc vegas 96.
