Gilbert Durinho makes weight and confirms UFC Las Vegas 97 main fight

The main fight of UFC Las Vegas 97 is confirmed. Early in the afternoon of this Friday (6), Gilbert Durinho e Sean brady won the challenge against the scales at the official weigh-in of the event this Saturday (7). While the American was the first of the 24 athletes to weigh in, the Brazilian was the one who closed the list, about an hour after the start of the weigh-in. The two welterweights (up to 77,1 kg) weighed the same 77,5 kg, making use of the pound tolerance allowed for fights that are not worth the belt.

In addition to Durinho, Jessica Stacker, Natalia Silva, Lip Detona, André Mascot, Gabriel Mosquitinho e Jacqueline Amorim also confirmed the complete 'Brazilian Squad' in UFC Las Vegas 97.

The weigh-in had only two occurrences. The first was in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg) kyle nelson, which weighed 67,3 kg, being about 1,5 kg above the category limit, already considering the pound of tolerance. The second, more worrying, with the average weight (up to 83,9 kg) Dylan Budka, who stepped on the scales very weak and measured 85,5 kg, 1,2 kg above the limit.
