Israel adesanya saw his name involved in yet another controversy. In a video that went viral on social media, the Nigerian appears in argument with a man on a street in New Zealand. He claims to have been the target of racist insults and threats, but the former UFC champion, Michael Bisping, raises the hypothesis of a possible setup.

On his YouTube channel, Bisping presented a different view of the case. According to the Englishman, the man who provoked Israel may have acted intentionally, with the aim of defaming the champion and possibly suing him.

“The guy was putting his hands up, like he was challenging him. This guy knew exactly who the guy was. Israel adesanya. He was probably trying to provoke him so he could sue him later. It's sad, but these kinds of things happen," said the former fighter.

The version of Michael Bisping is based on the man's alleged experience in provoking fights to profit from lawsuits. The Englishman warns of the growing wave of people seeking fame and money through actions of this type.
