Poatan shared the experience on his social networks and gave an interview to 'UFC Fight Pass'. When asked about the possibility of a fight between them, the Brazilian was cautious.
“We’ve been talking for a while now. We’ve exchanged messages about training, about training together. The experience he’s had (is interesting). I’m really excited. Some people have been saying this, but I haven’t even reached heavyweight to fight him. It’s good to gain experience and fight with other people,” said Alex.

The meeting between Poatan and Jones has reignited speculation about a possible superfight in the future. The current scenario, however, is not realistic for the fight to take place. The Brazilian will face Khalil rountree, while 'Bones' faces Stipe Miocic. Both are trying to defend their light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) and heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) belts, respectively.
