Michael Chandler reveals reason for accepting rematch against Charles do Bronx in UFC: 'It's personal'

American breaks silence and claims thirst for revenge against Brazilian in UFC

Michael chandler spoke about the revenge against Charles of the Bronx No. UFC 309, which takes place on November 16. For the rematch, the American declared his desire to knock out the Brazilian and also mentioned a desire for revenge in search of a new chance to fight for the organization's lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg).

“I still have (the fight against McGregor), but I’m changing my position. Why? Because I’m a fighter in body and soul, and I think you guys forgot that. This fight is personal. It’s a revenge fight,” the American declared on his YouTube channel.

Michael chandler has been in a bad phase since the defeat to Charles of the Bronx. The American has won just one of his last four fights and was looking forward to facing Conor McGregor in his next appearance.

After more than a year of waiting, however, 'Iron', as he is known, did not give up on facing the Irishman, but chose to accept the rematch against the Brazilian and return to activity.

Charles of the Bronx, in turn, is ready to defend his legacy and prove that the victory over Chandler was no mere coincidence. The Brazilian, who is coming off a defeat to Arman Tsarukyan, seeks to get back on track for the title.
