UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), Dricus Du Plessis didn't leave Alex Poatan's recent provocations no response. Through a post on social media, the South African responded to comments made by the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) in an interview backstage at UFC 306, last Saturday (14).
In a post on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), Du Plessis mocked Poatan's insults and said he had already agreed to face the Brazilian.

Dricus Du Plessis became middleweight champion in January of this year by defeating Sean Strickland in a tight decision by the judges in UFC 297, in Canada. The South African defended his title in August by submitting the former champion Israel adesanya No. UFC 305, in Australia. Soon after the event, Dricus was surprisingly challenged by Alex Poatán, who, in a post on social media, revealed for the first time his plan to return to the middleweight division to try to regain the belt and become champion of two categories simultaneously.
