Tom aspinall still hasn't given up on facing Jon Jones in the Ultimate octagon. Despite the linear champion revealing that he will hang up his gloves after facing Stipe Miocic No. UFC 309, in November, the Englishman is waiting for an 'unforeseen event' and guarantees that he will be ready to fight at the event.

On his YouTube channel, Aspinall celebrated the officialization of the fight between Jones and Miocic. However, the Englishman did not fail to downplay the marriage of the fight, since the American has been away for three years and eight months.

“What else happened there was that the big Jon Jones, the big Stipe Miocic “Finally, it’s official. November 16, Madison Square Garden, New York. The heavyweight title is on the line, finally. Finally. We’re confirmed for it,” the fighter added.

Aspinall 'still' ready to face Jon Jones

Despite the fact that the fight between Jones and Miocic has been made official, Aspinall has not yet given up hope of unifying the title against the American before his retirement. He has assured that he will be trained so that, in case of any unforeseen circumstances, he can take on the fight.

“I, of course, will be there to watch these two gentlemen fight. I, of course, have told the UFC that if anyone gets injured or for any other reason no one can make it to the fight, because one of them might pull out, I am ready to go. If I have to, I will fight both of them on the same night, no problem,” he added.

O UFC 309 is scheduled to take place on November 16th, at the traditional Madison Square Garden, in New York (USA). In addition to the fight between Jon Jones x Stipe Miocic as the main attraction, the show features Charles of the Bronx, which faces Michael chandler in the co-main event of the attraction.
