Conor McGregor receives million-dollar offer for 'back and forth' fight with world boxing champion

McGregor was going to face Terence Crawford in boxing and MMA, boxer denied the offer

This Wednesday (2), world boxing champion Terence Crawford announced that he received an offer to face the Irishman in two fights: one in boxing and one in MMA. However, the boxer admitted to having refused the proposal.

According to both fighters, the offer was made by the chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, and would be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. However, Crawford said he had no interest in leaving his sport.

“Me and Conor got on the phone and started playing politics to try to figure out a way. Man, I’m not getting in the f***ing octagon with you so you can kick me and throw elbows at me!” the champion said in an interview with Bernie Tha Boxer.

When asked about the matter, the first two-time champion in UFC history confirmed the story, lamenting the lost business.

“(He told Crawford) They’re looking to organize a fight. There’s going to be hundreds of millions at stake. So what? He said, ‘I don’t want to get kicked.’ You have to respect that,” McGregor summarized, during a live broadcast for a betting site.
