“I was in the Octagon after the fight and Marc Goddard came up to me and said, ‘I’ve been doing this for 20 years. The way he hits people, the way he sounds, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever heard before.’ He said, ‘It’s disgusting,’” Joe Rogan said.

A well-known figure in major UFC fights, Goddard has also been an eyewitness to the Brazilian's knockouts. In addition to his victory last Saturday, the referee was the third man in the octagon in Poatan's triumphs against Israel adesanya, Jan Blachowicz e Jiri Prochazka.
