In a fight that tested the experience and endurance of one of the biggest names in Brazilian boxing, Acelino Popó beat Argentine Jorge 'El Chino' Miranda by unanimous decision of the judges on Saturday night (12), at Fight Music Show 5.
The first round was marked by a study between the athletes, with Popó connecting some precise blows and 'El Chino' seeking to exploit the gaps in the Brazilian's defense.

In the second round, an unusual incident marked the fight: Popó slipped during an exchange of blows and was provoked by the Argentine. The incident, which could have changed the course of the fight, did not shake the four-time champion's spirits.
From the third round onwards, the fight became more intense, with both fighters trying to define the confrontation. 'El Chino' even lost a point for grabbing Popó's arm, but he did not give up the fight. In the fifth and final round, the Brazilian picked up the pace and pressured his opponent, landing precise blows and putting the Argentine on the ropes.
Despite the victory, Popó did not have an easy life. The slippery ring and the experience of 'El Chino' demanded the maximum from the four-time champion, who had to use all his intelligence and technique to emerge victorious.
