One month after being dethroned by Merab Dvalishvili No. UFC 306, former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley is weighing his options for his immediate future in the organization. While he's looking for an immediate rematch against the Georgian, the American is keeping the door open for other attractive options, including a fight against José Aldo.

In an interview with journalist Ariel Helwani, 'Suga' nodded positively to the possibility of facing the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg). O'Malley believes that this is the type of fight that would please the fans.

“100%. It would be crazy. José Aldo “He’s a legend. It’s definitely a possibility. I like to have options, I don’t know if the rematch with Merab is going to happen. I’m pushing, I’m throwing it out there, I hope it happens. But I’m here for the big fights and I want people to be entertained. I want people to have the feeling of a big fight coming up. Those are the kind of fights I want to make and give people. So yeah, it’s a possibility,” O’Malley replied.

A potential fight against Sean O'Malley, former champion and number one in the rankings, would represent a huge leap forward for José Aldo in the bantamweight division. At the moment, the 'King of Rio' is ranked 11th and is coming off a loss to mario bautista No. UFC 307, held at the beginning of October.
