The UFC has stepped up surveillance of its athletes in 2024. A new update to the anti-doping testing database at 'Drug Free Sport International' revealed that 720 fighters underwent a total of 3886 tests throughout the year. And, among so many names, some stood out: Conor McGregor, Kayla harrison e José Aldo lead the list of the most tested.
The Irishman, who is flirting with a return to the UFC, underwent 11 tests, the same number as the American Kayla harrison. The Brazilian José Aldo, a featherweight legend (up to 64,7 kg) who has returned to competition, is right behind, with 10 exams.

Understand UFC anti-doping tests
The high frequency of testing these athletes underwent demonstrates the importance that the UFC places on combating doping. The organization seeks to ensure the integrity of the sport and provide fans with a fair and clean spectacle.
It is important to note that the high number of tests does not necessarily mean that these fighters are suspected of using banned substances. The UFC's anti-doping policy provides for random testing of all athletes, aiming to prevent doping and ensure a level playing field in competitions.
