Brazilian excites fans with suggestion that he would accept in December to 'save' UFC for the fourth time this year

The 'superhero' of the octagon may be back for another mission. Current UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), Alex Poatán has been one of the most talked about names behind the scenes. After saving the UFC in three events this year, accepting last-minute fights and always with a positive result, the Brazilian is now being considered for another venture: facing an opponent — not yet defined — in UFC 310, in December.

With the injury to Belal Muhammad |, which took him out of UFC 310, all eyes turned to Alex Pereira. A telephone emoji posted by the Brazilian in response to a post on social media was enough to spark speculation among fans.

Alex Poatan is the UFC's 'wild card'

Poatan's story in 2024 is worthy of an action movie. In April, when the UFC 300 needed a strong protagonist, the Brazilian agreed to face Jamahal hill.

Shortly after, in the UFC 303, he accepted the challenging mission of replacing Conor McGregor and defend his belt against Jiri Prochazka on the 'International Day of Struggle'.

To top it off, he was cast in the UFC 307, in Salt Lake City, where he came face to face with Khalil rountree Jr. Won them all by knockout.

Alex Pereira's versatility and willingness to face any challenge have turned him into a true 'UFC wild card.' The Brazilian, who was once middleweight champion and now reigns at light heavyweight, with three title defenses, has won the UFC title.
