Ankalaev gives green light to fight Poatan at UFC 310: 'I spoke to my manager'

Fighter used social media to show availability to UFC for the December 7 event

After Belal Muhammad gets injured and be forced to abandon the fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov, UFC 310, scheduled for December 7, was left without its main attraction. With that, the attention of the fighting world turned to Alex Poatán, a fighter who recently gained fame as a 'UFC hero', by accepting three last minute fights and save three Ultimate events this year. With no agreement reached, the main candidate to face the Brazilian used social media to reveal his availability for the date.

Through 'X' (formerly Twitter), Magomed Ankalayev said he spoke with the manager and made himself available to the UFC to save the card.

“I spoke to my manager. If the UFC needs me for December 7th, I’m in. Let’s go,” wrote the Russian.

As soon as the injury Belal Muhammad | was reported, Poatan responded to a post with a telephone emoji, showing his desire and willingness to fight. Ankalaev immediately replicated the same emoji and tagged the Brazilian, in a clear challenge for the fight in UFC 310.
