Without fighting for two years, Michael chandler returns to the octagon in UFC 309, on November 16, in rematch against Charles of the Bronx, his tormentor in a belt dispute in 2021. Thirsty for revenge, the American promises an unprecedented and highly evolved version in his return to competition.

In a post on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter) last Monday (4), the former Bellator champion promised fans to present something they've never seen and that will 'blow their minds' and even prophesied that he will become lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) next year.

“What you will see on November 16th will be something you have never seen from me. Something exceptional. Something that will blow your mind. Champion in 2025,” said the American.

Michael chandler e Charles of the Bronx faced each other for the first time in May 2021, in a dispute for the vacant lightweight belt in UFC 262. On that occasion, the Brazilian survived punishment in the first round and managed to turn the tables, knocking out his rival at the beginning of the second round.

From there to here, Michael chandler lost to Justin gaethje e Dustin poirier and hit Tony Ferguson in the period between defeats. The American has spent the last few years preparing to face Conor McGregor in a duel that never got off the ground, until he accepted the rematch against the Brazilian.

With Charles of the Bronx e Michael chandler in the co-main fight, the UFC 309 takes place on November 16th, at the iconic Madison Square Garden, in New York, United States, and has as its main attraction the dispute for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg) between Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic.
