This is the second time Garbrandt vs. Johns has been canceled. Both of those dates were in Las Vegas. The last time the two were expected to meet in the Octagon was in October at UFC Vegas 98. The fight was moved to November 9, but the reason for that was not disclosed.

cody garbrandt comes from a defeat against the Brazilian Deiveson Figueiredo No. UFC 300, held in April. The former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg.) was knocked out in the second round. 'Daico's' victory broke a streak of two fights won by Garbrandt over brian kelleher by the fast track – a knockout in the first round – and Trevin Jones by decision.

In his career, the American has a record of 14 positive results and six negative ones, in addition to having already surpassed names such as Dominick Cruz, Raphael Assunção e Thomas almeida.
