Away from the octagon since 2017, Georges St-Pierre turned down a new opportunity to return to action. The fighter, who has already returned from retirement on one occasion, said 'no' to an offer to face Tyron woodley — at least that's what the American says.
In an interview with 'Plejmo', Woodley said that a Middle Eastern investor showed interest in promoting an MMA fight between the former UFC champions. Although it was a million-dollar offer, the Canadian turned it down.

“Georges St-Pierre never wanted to fight me. I had an opportunity to fight him last year and the year before. It was a seven million dollar purse and he said no. My Middle Eastern investor wanted the fight but he said no. I would have hit him in the head.” Tyron woodley.
Tyron woodley became UFC welterweight champion (up to 77,3 kg) in 2016, when he knocked out Robbie Lawler. The fighter defended his belt on four occasions, obtaining three victories and one draw, until being dethroned by Kamaru Usman. From then on, Woodley accumulated four consecutive defeats in the organization, left the Ultimate and ventured into boxing, where he suffered two setbacks to the YouTuber Jake Paul.
In turn, Georges St-Pierre, considered the greatest welterweight in history, reigned in the category for six years and won 12 title fights until hanging up his gloves for the first time in 2013. The Canadian returned in 2017, this time in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg), and defeated Michael Bisping, becoming a two-time UFC champion.
