Brazil started the night on the right foot in UFC Macau! Nikolas Motta, the first representative of the country to step into the octagon in the edition, exceeded expectations and achieved a victory over Maheshate Hayisaer. The fight, marked by the height difference between the athletes, was decided by the power of the Brazilian's blows. The victory, valid for the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), came on points.
With the victory, Nikolas updated his record to 15 wins and five losses. In the UFC, it is his third win in five fights.

The excitement of the fight was, precisely, in the final stretch. With a left-handed punch, after having difficulty finding the distance, Nikolas managed to hit Maheshate strongly. The Brazilian made his opponent fall half-knocked out, but the Chinese held the pressure.
With another knockdown, Motta seemed close to a knockout right away. However, he saw Maheshate accelerate the pace and suffered with the tuning because he was more passive. The Chinese, however, seemed to be looking for flying knees, but he was already looking a bit tired.
The advantage allowed Nikolas to land a good right straight that made his opponent fall once again. He fell into position for the rear naked choke and almost landed the blow. He managed to close the lock, but was unable to make the most of the position. In the final stretch, he also landed another blow in the final stretch and confirmed the victory by unanimous decision of the judges.
