Carlos Ulberg continued his winning streak in the third fight of the main card of the UFC Macau this Saturday (23). After three busy rounds, the New Zealander won Volkan oezdemir by unanimous decision and achieved his seventh consecutive victory in the light heavyweight category (up to 93 kg). Ranked tenth in the ranking, the kickboxer used his experience to overcome his opponent and should jump positions in the ranking towards a challenge Alex Poatán.

The fight began with Oezdemir landing good kicks to his opponent's legs and moving forward, while Ulberg moved sideways and connected good punches as a counterattack. In the final part of the five minutes, the New Zealander began to hurt his opponent with good combinations involving blows to the body and head.
The Swiss fighter returned with the same aggressiveness in the second round, moving forward and trying to establish a strong rhythm. Ulberg, in turn, maintained his movement and initiative in staying in the center of the octagon. He connected good punches, with a strong combination of jab and straight that hurt Oezdemir.
The former title challenger had a good moment at the beginning of the third round, hurting his opponent with a strong straight punch. He kept up the strong leg kicks, which earned him a personal record in the UFC. Despite his opponent's attacks, Ulberg kept landing good counterattacks and hurting Oezdemir, who was visibly tired at that moment.
At the end of the 15 minutes of confrontation, Carlos Ulberg was declared the winner by unanimous decision, with two judges scoring the fight 30×27 in his favor, and the other 29×28. Despite the statements throughout the week, the fighter did not issue any challenge to Alex Poatán.
