Botafogo's historic victory in the Copa Libertadores da América captivated not only the club's fans, but also several athletes with UFC experience and roots in the Rio de Janeiro club. Names such as Edson Barboza, Erick silva, Herbert Burns e Thiago Marreta celebrated the unprecedented victory of Glorioso on social media.

With goals from Luiz Henrique, Alex Telles and Jr Santos, John Textor's team beat Atlético-MG 3-1 at the Monumental de Nuñez, in Argentina. See the fighters' reactions below.

Edson Barboza faced a dilemma before the final: watch Botafogo's game or watch his son's championship final in the United States. In a poll on social media, most fans encouraged him to watch Glorioso, and he didn't regret it. The fighter shared photos and videos celebrating the title alongside his son, both wearing Botafogo's colors.

Erick silva also showed his love for the club. The fighter gathered his family to watch the final and recorded videos of the celebration, which included fireworks. A Botafogo flag was also the center of attention during the celebration.

Herbert Burns, even though he was on a flight to the United States, did not miss the opportunity to watch the match and celebrate the achievement. The fighter shared the celebration on social media and saw the unprecedented victory at the airport in Saudi Arabia, where he supported Impa Kazanganay in the PFL last Friday (29), who was defeated by knockout in the first round against Dovlet Yagshimuradov.

Thiago Marreta lived a special moment with her daughter, Alisa, two years old, the result of her relationship with It's Kunitskaya. The former UFC fighter recorded videos of the little girl cheering for Botafogo and celebrating Alex Telles' goal.
