Alex Poatán used his social media to share an exciting journey of overcoming. In a post that went viral, the Brazilian, current UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), compared two photos: one from four years ago, having lunch at his mother's humble home, and another in his current luxurious residence.

Accompanied by the song 'Viúva Sem Nada', by Daniel & Samuel, which talks about overcoming, Poatan celebrated.

“I’ve been having lunch at my parents’ house for four years. Thank you very much, my God,” Poatan wrote on his social media.

The fighter, who began practicing martial arts late, faced several challenges throughout his career, including problems with alcoholism.
