About to make his first title defense against Umar Nurmagomedov No. UFC 311, Merab Dvalishvili continues to gain prominence for his actions outside the octagon. In UFC 310, held last Saturday (7), the rooster champion (up to 61,3 kg) got into a fight with a fan while he was scheduled to be in his teammate's corner, aljamain sterling.

During the press conference after the UFC 310, White expressed his frustration over the incident and compared Merab's behavior to that of Sean Strickland. The UFC president acknowledged that clashes with fans are inevitable in the fighting world, but warned that such conflicts could result in huge financial costs.

“He’s my mini-Strickland, without the mouth. What do you do? Let him buy the pay-per-view, I guess. You can’t fight the fans. You can do it, but it’s going to cost a lot of money. I say it all the time: We’re in the fight business. It happens. We have to deal with it,” Dana White said.

In the confusion behind the scenes of UFC 310, Dvalishvili had to be restrained by UFC security, while his teammate, Dennis Buzukja, threw punches at a fan before he was also pulled away by security. This is not Dvalishvili's first confrontation with fans. In August, he confronted a heckler during the Craig Jones Invitational in Las Vegas, climbing into the crowd to resolve the situation.
