Former UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg), Deiveson Figueiredo once again expressed his desire to return to the category and fight for the title against Brandon Moreno. The Brazilian said he is ready to drop weight again and sees himself as the best option to face his compatriot, who has held the belt since July 2023.
“If Pantoja is looking for an opponent, I am the best option. I am available, my friend. In my UFC career, I have only failed to make weight once. If I need to do it, I will go there and fulfill my commitment,” said Deiveson in an interview with the channel 'Laerte Viana na Área'.

The former champion also recalled his first meeting with the current division champion, Alexandre pantoja. The fight, held in 2019, was difficult for the Brazilian, but Deiveson believes that, if there had been one more round, he would have taken it even more calmly. He won the fight by unanimous decision of the judges.
“The first fight was not easy for Pantoja. It was a three-round fight, and I definitely won all three,” concluded Figueiredo.
At 36, Deiveson Figueiredo has a record of 24 wins and four losses, plus one draw. Throughout his career in the UFC, he has defeated big names such as Joseph Benavidez (twice), Brandon Moreno (in his first fight), Rob font, cody garbrandt e Marlon Vera.
