Tom Aspinall shares Dana White's promise about possible UFC fight with Jon Jones

Tom aspinall is getting closer and closer to realizing one of the biggest dreams of his MMA career: facing Jon Jones, who holds the linear heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg). In an interview with the Piers Uncensored program, the British revealed a conversation he had with Dana White after the UFC 309.

“He walked into the room and said, 'It's going to happen,' and it's going to be the biggest fight in UFC history,” Aspinall said.

For the Briton, the fight against Jones is key to cementing his name among the greatest in the sport. Aspinall's aspiration is clear and audible: he wants the chance to challenge the champion in a historic fight.

At just 31 years old, Tom aspinall has been enjoying a shining moment in the UFC. Since his debut in 2020, the British fighter has been a phenomenon. He has accumulated 15 wins in 18 fights, 12 of them by knockout – which has made him one of the most feared fighters in the division.

In 2023, he won the interim heavyweight belt after a devastating knockout against Sergey Spivac, to consolidate his name as one of the biggest talents in the category.
