Considered one of the biggest names of the new generation of Brazilian fighters, Felipe Lima won the second victory in a row in the organization by defeating Miles Johns on the preliminary card of UFC Tampa, which took place this Saturday (14), in the USA. The former training partner of Khamzat Shimaev put on pressure, suffered a knockdown and almost finished his opponent in a duel that got the crowd excited. However, the Brazilian's victory came by unanimous decision of the judges (30-27).

In a post-event interview with UFC Tampa with on-site coverage do SUPER FIGHTS, reporter Velber Viana asked about the importance of this last victory for the Brazilian.

“This victory of mine is a childhood dream, right? It’s a result I had as a child. I always worked hard, training, imagining that I would one day reach the UFC, and in June of this year, the dream came true. Being a UFC fighter and now having my second consecutive victory is a huge importance in my life. And I’m very grateful to be here, especially for the support from Brazil, from Manaus, from Guarida where I’m from, and I feel very blessed,” said the fighter. (see below)

the reporter from SUPER FIGHTS also asked if Felipe Lima already has an opponent in mind for the next UFC fight. The Brazilian said he is willing to face whatever comes his way.

“No, I don’t, but we’re prepared for whatever the UFC sends,” concluded Felipe.

The young featherweight prospect (up to 65,7 kg) now has 14 consecutive victories in MMA and only one defeat. Miles, in turn, at 30 years old, had his three-fight winning streak interrupted by the Brazilian.
