Main attraction, next to Amanda ribas, from the first Ultimate event in 2025, Mackenzie dern caught the attention during the 'media day' of UFC Las Vegas 101, carried out last Wednesday (9) when she arrived accompanied by a huge Neapolitan Mastiff dog.
During the press conference, the Brazilian strawweight (up to 52,1 kg) born in the United States explained that 'Mack's' presence during the week of the event is not just for simple company, but for emotional support before an important fight.

“He helps me a lot to stay comfortable and I’m trying to stay as calm as possible. I think what I need most in my fights is composure and to go into the Apex feeling like I’m in a training session again. He (Mack) goes with me everywhere. Moa (daughter) will also be here on Friday. That’s the best way to keep me relaxed and not get nervous,” explained the fighter.
Emotional support animals, or Emotional Assistance Animals, as they are officially called, are animals that serve as support for people with mental disorders, such as anxiety and depression.
With the support of 'Mack', Mackenzie dern enters the octagon in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 101, this Saturday (11), in revenge against Amanda ribas. The first meeting between the two took place in October 2019, with Amanda winning by the judges' decision.
