Knocked out twice by Alex Poatan, Jiri Prochazka insists he would beat the Brazilian in a trilogy

On the eve of the crucial duel against Jamahal hill on the main card of UFC 311, this Saturday (18), Jiri Prochazka has not yet given up on the goal of dethroning Alex Poatán and regain the light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg), even though he was knocked out by the Brazilian on two occasions.

In a recent interview with 'MMA Junkie', the Czech 'samurai' assured that he had learned a lot from the two defeats he suffered against Poatan and stated that he was ready to take revenge on the Brazilian in a possible trilogy for the belt.

“For me, both fights with Pereira showed me a lot. I mean it. I believe I have improved my style, my life, everything to face Alex Pereira for a third time. Sorry, I believe in that. I really believe I can be the champion and I will go after that, to be champion again,” said Prochazka.

Second and third place in the light heavyweight rankings, respectively, Jiri Prochazka e Jamahal hill face each other with the common goal of challenging again Alex Poatán for the category belt.

The stage for the light heavyweight duel is the UFC 311 has two title fights. In the main fight, Islam makhachev defends the lightweight reign (up to 70,3 kg) in a rematch against Arman Tsarukyan, while, in roosters (up to 61,2 kg), Merab Dvalishvili defends the title against Umar Nurmagomedov.
