Looking forward to finally getting the chance to get revenge on Alex Poatán in the octagon, Jamahal hill expects nothing more than a 'queue jump' if he triumphs over Jiri Prochazka No. UFC 311, which takes place this Saturday (18). Aware that Magomed Ankalayev is the favorite for the position, the American ignores facts and claims the possibility of leaving the Russian behind.

“100% I feel like a win here (UFC 311) let me have the next fight be for the belt. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't happen. Ankalaev fought the fifth-ranked (light heavyweight) last time. I'm fighting the second-ranked in the world, I don't see me going backwards with this (victory)," said Jamahal in an appearance on 'media day'.

Despite his confidence, Hill will need to count on the goodwill of his leaders for his prophecy to come true. According to Ali Abdelaziz, Ankalaev's manager, and Canadian journalist Ariel Helwani, the Russian is, in fact, Poatan's next opponent in a duel valid for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg).
