After the defeat of Jamahal hill No. UFC 311, last Saturday (18), Alex Poatán wasted no time and got straight to the point. The Brazilian took advantage of the moment to recall a symbolic gesture he made in April 2024, after defeating the North American by knockout for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg).

While Jamahal hill, with his face marked by defeat for Jiri Prochazka, left the octagon, Poatan, who was watching closely, made a point of remembering the famous gesture performed in UFC 300.

At that event, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) approached Hill, who was lying in the octagon, and silently pointed at him, as if to say: 'Here is the result of what you said'. Alex's attitude was a direct response to the provocations made by Hill before the fight, in which the North American showed confidence that he could knock out the Brazilian.

Poatan's gesture, however, was not just a form of provocation. The champion revealed in later interviews that, in adopting that stance, he was inspired by Khaby Lame, a TikToker who went viral for simplifying everyday situations in a humorous way.

While the video of the scene quickly spread across social media, Poatan's provocation added to the growing anticipation about his next fight. The current champion, who continues to reign in the light heavyweight division, already has his next challenge confirmed: he will face Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 313, scheduled for March 8, 2025.
