Ultimate lands in the 'Land of Kangaroos' this Saturday (8) with two belt disputes in UFC 312, in Sydney, Australia. The card will feature as its main fight the rematch between Dricus du Plessis e Sean Strickland for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg). In the second most important fight of the night, Zhang Weili defends her reign in the women's strawweight (up to 52,1 kg) against the undefeated challenger Tatiana Suarez placeholder image.
Du Plessis and Strickland faced each other for the first time in the UFC 297, in January 2024. After an intense duel, the South African won the middleweight title with a split decision victory. Since then, the champion has consolidated his dominance in the category by winning Israel adesanya No. UFC 305, and now seeks to defend his position for the second time. Strickland, on the other hand, secured revenge by overcoming Paulo borrachinha No. UFC 302, and now plans to reclaim the title.

Zhang arrives at the event looking for her third title defense. Recognized for her agility and powerful punches, the Chinese fighter won Amanda lemos and the compatriot yan xiaonan by unanimous decision in her last fights.
