“Wait a minute, wrestling in a mixed martial arts match is nothing like wrestling on a mat. Callum (his son) is a much better fighter than I am; I’m going to pick him up and beat his ass,” Bisping countered.

PUBLICITY:

“Serious wrestlers are shit. If you bring any of these guys into the cage, unless they learn how to do it in a cage, I will kick their heads in. They are shit,” said the former middleweight champion (up to 73,9 kg). (see video below)

PUBLICITY:

Refuting the Englishman's claims, the American said: 'Don't fight double legs. All these guys know how to defend a double leg.' Cormier then pointed at Bisping and said: 'He can't defend a single leg.' Bisping replied: 'I can,' to which Cormier retorted: 'No, you can't.'

Tensions then boiled over when the Briton challenged the former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) to back up his words.

“You’ve got me up against the wall, DC. You couldn’t take me down with a single leg, even with my bad hips and neck. Single leg? I could stop you, DC, oh, I could stop you. There’s an octagon right there. I could stop you.”
