After flirt with the idea of testing himself at middleweight (up to 83,9 kg), Jiri Prochazka felt inspired by the peculiar way of fighting Dricus Du Plessis. The Czech, known for having one of the 'weirdest' fighting styles in the UFC, congratulated the champion and commented on the South African's victory against Sean Strickland No. UFC 312.

In a post on 'X', Prochazka questioned the champion's technique and pace, but revealed that he felt inspired by Du Plessis' performance.
"Congratulations, Dricus Du Plessis. No technique, no rhythm, but 200% activity and pressure, especially as a champion. That was something inspiring,” wrote the former light heavyweight champion.

Prochazka considers move to midfield, but has other focus first
Jiri Prochazka recently revealed his desire to move down to the middleweight division. After suffering two knockouts in title fights against Alex Poatán, the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) evaluated his options and indicated the possibility of changing weight classes. However, before dropping down in weight, the Czech still wants to win back his light heavyweight belt.
