gregory rodriguesRobocop believes that the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) has – and will have more – names that threaten the title. Dricus du Plessis. And he is included in the list. The Brazilian raised the doubt whether the belt will remain with DDP until the end of the year in a press conference this Thursday (13), at 'media day' do UFC Las Vegas 102.

The South African defended the championship last Saturday (8), at UFC 312. He won Sean Strickland by unanimous decision after five rounds in Australia. With this, Du Plessis increased his winning streak to eleven. The fighter's professional record shows 23 wins and only two losses. But this streak will not last until the end of the year, in the opinion of Gregory Robocop.
“It was good. It was good for Dricus du Plessis. He did his job. Before the fight, my thought was that he would still be the champion, and he was. But I don't know if he'll hold that belt until the end of this year. He's going to fight Chimaev, right? It's a good fight, but his will is the same, right? He's the champion, he's young,” Gregory said.
“But I don’t know if he has the quality to keep the belt. The division has changed, so many good names, and they are emerging. (Nassourdine) Imavov is there, Caio Borralho. So many good guys coming up. Me. A few more days and I'll be there. The division is starting to get exciting and I'm excited to be in this perfect moment.”, he said.
Gregory Robocop face Jared Cannonier in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 102. The event will be held at the Apex in Las Vegas (USA). The Brazilian is looking for his fourth consecutive victory. In his career, he has won 16 fights and lost only five.
