It was in the heart. Rafael Macapá suffered from wear and tear, but won Jesus Aguilar No. ufc vegas 102, an event held this Saturday (15). The Brazilian had been superior in the first two rounds, suffered with the intense pace of the Mexican at the end, but withstood the pressure to leave with his arms raised in the unanimous decision of the judges. The fight, in the preliminary card, was valid for the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg).

The result meant that Macapá remained undefeated in his career. The Brazilian has a record of 13 wins and no losses, being the third in Dana White's organization.
Aguilar suffered his third defeat in his professional MMA career. With this, the Mexican has 11 positive results and three negative ones.
Rafael Aguilar suffers a scare at the end, but wins on points
The first initiative of the fight was Aguilar's, who applied a 'mata-cobra' and tried to take him down against the fence. Macapá, however, was smart, took advantage of a moment when his opponent tried to lasso his neck and applied a takedown. The Mexican got out of the position, but was taken down again by Rafael. The Brazilian left his neck exposed and saw the Mexican attack with a guillotine. He kept calm and did not let his opponent progress.
The second round started with a strong pace, with Macapá falling on top and opening up a scoring margin. Well on defense, Aguilar opened up a position for a guillotine, but saw Rafael come out and lunge for a guillotine — although he, once again, remained calm so as not to get into trouble.
Willing to go all out in the third round, Jesus adopted a different strategy: a stand-up fight. The Mexican took advantage of the Brazilian's fatigue to get close to him, corner him and land hard blows. Rafael was told by his cornerman, Dede Pederneiras, not to get involved and to spin around the octagon, with the aim of not giving him any opportunities and confirming the victory.
