Bare-knuckle boxing organization BKFC could be close to a major addition to its roster. It's the former Pride champion Fedor Emelianenko, which, despite being far from its peak, is considered one of the greatest in history. The information was given by none other than Conor McGregor, co-owner of the promotion.

At a BKFC press conference in Italy, McGregor suggested that the organization may be in talks with Emelianenko, hinting at a possible future announcement. The Irishman also highlighted that BKFC is recruiting big names from the past, present and future, reinforcing the growth and attractiveness of its roster.
“Stay tuned, we may have an announcement with Fedor Emelianenko. Hey, Fedor. We're waiting. There might be news with Fedor Emelianenko. The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is signing and acquiring the best fighters of all time – past, present and future. Everyone wants to be a part of it. There’s a saying in Italian: ‘Il tempo è denaro.’ Time is money,” Conor said.

At 48, Fedor Emelianenko does not compete since the defeat to Ryan bader in February 2023. The former Pride champion retired from MMA following the fight, but has since been speculated about possible returns.
