Ankalaev calls on heavyweight standout to help prepare for fight against Poatan

With less than a month to go until the long-awaited clash against Alex Poatán for the world light heavyweight title (up to 93kg), Magomed Ankalayev shows he is thirsty to steal the champion's throne. In addition to already being in Las Vegas, the scene of the fight that takes place on March 8, the Russian called Alexander Volkov to assist in your preparation for UFC 313.

In a photo published on his official account Instagram, Volkov used a curious caption to reveal a partnership with his compatriot at the Porrada Training Center gym.

Recently, on his official X account (formerly Twitter), Ankalaev provoked the Brazilian by comparing their efforts during preparation for the match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. According to the Russian, while Poatan is going to unofficial events and attending parties, he takes the opportunity to climb mountains and dedicate himself to training.

Despite all the circumstances, the light heavyweight champion says he is training as if he were going to face any other fighter in the octagon. The fight, in addition to being worth the belt, also marks the fourth title defense for the Brazilian, who is looking forward to defeating what many fans believe to be the biggest challenge of his professional MMA career so far.
