Responsible for the only defeat of Brock Lesnar 's career , black belt Frank Mir lashed out at his rival in a recent interview with the American website Yahoo Sports. The fighter stated that Lesnar will likely have difficulty returning to the ring due to the long period of inactivity caused by an intestinal problem, which the current heavyweight champion has been treating since September of this year.
“I don’t know how he’ll come back,” he said. “This will be a headache for a while. He was never a technical fighter to begin with. A lot of his style is based on his power and strength”, said Mir, who was also away from competition for a long period, when he suffered a serious motorcycle accident in 2004 and fractured his femur.
The first fight between Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar took place at UFC 81, when Mir submitted Lesnar with a knee lock in the first round. In their second duel, held at UFC 100, it was the giant's turn to prevail, knocking out Frank in the first round.
