Brazilian duo in action
Featuring two Brazilian athletes, UFC Vegas 103 will have a preliminary card composed of the colors green and yellow. The first Brazilian to step into the octagon, Lucas Almeida, returns to the ring after an absence since June 2024. Violent in his MMA appearances, the athlete, who boasts 14 wins by stoppage, nine of them by knockout, prepares to face Danny Silva . Newly signed, the American will be fighting for the second time after a successful debut.
The last Brazilian to compete at the event, Ricardo Carcacinha returns to the ring after training with the Fighting Nerds team. The São Paulo native, who delivered a thrilling victory in his last fight, faces the organization's undefeated prospect, Chepe Mariscal , who has had his arm raised in all four of his octagon appearances.
Luana Dread and Douglas D'Silva out of the fight
Originally scheduled to fight Montana De La Rosa in the event's opening bout, Luana Carolina was ultimately prevented from competing by the Nevada Athletic Commission due to weight-cutting issues. The fight was originally planned to take place at flyweight (up to 56,7 kg).
Like her compatriot, Douglas also had her fight against John Castañeda canceled after the official weigh-in for the event. The duel was scheduled to take place at bantamweight (up to 61,2kg).
