Best fighter in the history of Brazilian MMA, the end of the reign of Anderson Silva in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) took place in July 2013. At the time, Spider had already defended his title ten times, but ended up being knocked out by Chris Weidman in the second round. The final sequence came at a time when the Brazilian was provoking his opponent, with his hands at hip height.

The only rivalry in UFC history to have four chapters, Deiveson Figueiredo e Brandon Moreno They shared several moments inside the most famous octagon in the world, all with the flyweight title (up to 56,7 kg) at stake. After a majority draw in their first meeting, in December 2020, the two met again six months later.
In this second duel, Moreno shocked the world by dominating Figueiredo and finishing the fight with a rear naked choke in the second round. The two would face each other twice more, with one victory for Deiveson and another triumph for the Mexican.

Breaking the rule, Amanda nunes managed to win back her belt. In December 2021, the Bahian was the victim of one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport when she was finished by Juliana Peña with a rear naked choke in the second round, in the co-main event of UFC 269. As a result, she lost the women's bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg). The trash talk throughout the two fights created a strong rivalry between the two.
Despite the shocking defeat, the two faced each other again seven months later. In the rematch, Amanda took no notice of her rival and won easily, by unanimous decision. A third fight was scheduled, but Peña was injured and the Brazilian ended up facing Irene aldana No. UFC 289. After another victory, the Bahian retired from the sport.
