Participating in the 'MMArcade' podcast, Robert whittaker, who is a former champion of the organization, highlighted the moment when Dana White analyzed the referees' scorecards and was reportedly frustrated with the result for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg).

“Did you notice when they were about to announce the winner and then Dana White read the card? From that moment on, I knew Ankalaev had won. He just didn’t look happy. I try not to make a big deal out of it. I’ve seen it happen before. Dana being dirty. The dissatisfaction, according to Dana White, was not directed at the result — which crowned Ankalaev as the new light heavyweight champion by unanimous decision — but at the lack of dynamism in the fight.
During the official announcement of Ankalaev's victory, cameras caught the 'boss' with a displeased expression as he read out the judges' scores. Despite his frustration, Dana signaled openness to a rematch.
