Jan Blachowicz want to 'jump the queue' Alex Poatán and aims for revenge against Magomed Ankalayev after fight in UFC London this Saturday (22). The Polish, who faces the New Zealander Carlos Ulberg at the event, he is looking for one last chance at the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) before hanging up his gloves. The extra motivation comes from the controversial draw against the Russian.
In an interview with the organization's official website, Jan Blachowicz made it clear that the draw against Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 282 still bothers him in his trajectory and dreams of a new chance for the title in case of victory.

“It’s normal (for the light heavyweight belt) to change hands every few years. For me, it’s good because I have unfinished business with Ankalaev. Of course, I have a job to do this Saturday and I’m focused on that. But I believe I will be the winner, and then we can finish what we started,” said the Pole.
The fight between the two, in December 2022, generated controversy. The duel, which was worth the vacant title after the injury of Jiri Prochazka, ended with differing scores: one judge scored for Blachowicz, another for Ankalaev, and the third scored a draw. The Russian started with a knockdown in the first seconds, but the Pole recovered and dominated with leg kicks.
After the impasse, the belt remained vacant and was later won by Jamahal hill e Alex Poatán. Ankalaev, however, secured his place at the top by defeating the Brazilian in the UFC 313, while Blachowicz comes from a setback against Poatan in 2023.
