“Money is good. (Jones is like) ‘Even if you bring me the money, the timing is what I need to fight this guy…’ Why? For the former light heavyweight (93 lbs.) and heavyweight (120,2 lbs.) champion, Jones has likely been having fun frustrating fans and media members by delaying the fight. Since winning Stipe Miocic in November, a unification with Aspinall is expected.
“They need to have this fight. I think Jon is kind of driving toward that — I feel like Jon likes to play on people saying, ‘He’s afraid of Tom aspinall, he doesn't want to fight with Tom aspinall'. He is not afraid of Tom aspinall. He will fight with Tom aspinall. I think he's messing with people, man. I think it's fun for this guy. This guy has made so much money and has been a champion for so long that he really doesn't need to fight anybody anymore," DC concluded.
