The feat during the event held in London was the fastest in the history of the promotion. Although impressive, the blow generated a lot of reactions. This is because a possible violation of the rules was noticed. There was no touch of gloves and the athlete grabbed the opponent's hand to apply the knockout. (watch video below)

Veteran UFC fighter Tom Lawlor weighed in on the incident. In his view, the incident may have been legal, but it was not moral.

“Yannick Bahati called for the glove touch, then grabbed his opponent’s hands and delivered a crushing right hand to score the KO in 4 seconds. Totally within the rules. Totally a stupid move,” wrote the American on 'X' (formerly Twitter).

Yannick Bahati's reaction

After much negative repercussion, the winner of the duel took to social media to defend himself. He used his own family to prove his intentions.

“There was no glove touch or fake glove touch on my part, just hard work. I asked him but he didn’t answer so I went straight to my game plan. I was on, focused and nothing stopped me from getting this message across to my two sons,” Bahati wrote.
