As previously reported by SUPER LUTAS , the fight between Brazilians Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort , valid for the Ultimate middleweight belt, has been confirmed by Fabiano Farah, Belfort's manager. The duel will take place at UFC-112, the show's debut in Abu Dhabi, in the Middle East.
“The scheduled and already pre-scheduled date is this. There may be some changes along the way, but nothing that changes more than a week before or after”, explained Farah, in an interview with UOL Esporte. “Everything is fine with both sides, everything is agreed, the only thing left to do is sign the contract”, he added.
“I’m very happy to be able to compete for this belt in Abu Dhabi. It’s a great honor,” said Vitor Belfort . “It’s great to fight in a place like that, in a country where the investments in fighting are enormous. Sheikh Tahnoon and his brother are very important to martial arts and continue to show that,” the fighter added.
